In the industrial coal supply chain, for a supply source to accurately meet a plant’s needs, the process involves more than just simple buying and selling; it encompasses an entire, continuously organized operational chain—from importation, receipt, consolidation, production, and transportation to delivery.
At TNV Hai Duong, imported coal is integrated into the Port–Warehouse–Yard–Plant system, enabling the company to be more proactive at each stage of the process and to coordinate supply in accordance with customers’ actual schedules.
From the source of imported coal to the receiving port
The supply chain begins with organizing the supply of imported coal to meet customers’ needs in terms of type, volume, and usage plans.
After being transported by sea, the coal shipment is received at the port or a transshipment facility, depending on actual conditions, before being transported to the port warehouse system.
By taking a proactive approach right from the sourcing stage, TNV Hai Duong has a solid foundation for developing more stable inventory and supply plans for each production phase.
Consolidation and storage at the port warehouse system
After being received, the coal is transported to the Hai Duong TNV Port–Warehouse–Yard–Plant system for consolidation and storage.
Warehousing plays a crucial role in the entire supply chain, serving as a buffer between the import process and the factories’ actual usage plans.
By maintaining inventory in the warehouse, TNV Hai Duong can be more proactive in preparing production volumes and coordinating them according to each delivery schedule.
Screening, blending, and preparing inventory
Depending on each customer’s requirements, the coal supply undergoes screening, blending, and preparation before delivery.
This is an important step in ensuring that the product supply better meets the actual needs of sectors such as:
- Thermal Power
- Cement
- Boiler
- Industrial Production
Each supply plan is organized based on the customer’s requirements regarding product type, volume, timing, and operational schedule.
Coordinate transportation and delivery to the factory
After the preparation process is complete, the coal supply is coordinated using appropriate transportation methods to deliver it to the plant as scheduled.
By integrating the supply chain—sources, ports, warehouses, manufacturing, logistics, and delivery—TNV Hai Duong is able to achieve a more stable, continuous, and flexible supply chain.

TNV Hai Duong’s System of 5 Ports, Warehouses, Yards, and Factories
Currently, TNV Hai Duong is developing a network of five ports, warehouses, yards, and production plants for anthracite, bituminous, and other industrial coal types, including:
Port No. 1: Chau Xa Residential Area, Nhi Chieu Ward, Hai Phong City.
Port No. 2: Bai Sai Area, Kinh Mon Ward, Hai Phong City.
Port No. 3: Viet Tri Port, Thanh Mieu Ward, Phu Tho Province.
Port No. 4: Thuy Minh, Bach Dang Ward, Hai Phong City.
Port No. 5: Dien Cong, Uong Bi Ward, Quang Ninh Province.
This system serves as the foundation for TNV Hai Duong to organize its inventory, manage stockpiles, oversee production, and coordinate supply plans across multiple regions.
