Unloading of 77,600 metric tons of imported coal from the MV CHAO TIAN MEN at Hòn Gai – Hòn Miều
As of August 31, 2026, the MV CHAO TIAN MEN, flying the Bahamian flag and carrying 77,600 metric tons of imported coal, has been operating and transshipping in the Hòn Gai–Hòn Miều area of Quảng Ninh.
Mining operations are conducted continuously according to schedule to supply coal to TNV Hai Duong’s network of ports, warehouses, storage yards, and plants, meeting the production needs of cement plants and industrial customers in the northern region.
Implementation of the mining and transshipment of 77,600 metric tons of imported coal
After arriving in the Hòn Gai area on August 31, 2026, the MV CHAO TIAN MEN began unloading, transshipment, and transfer operations as scheduled.
With a cargo capacity of 77,600 metric tons, this is one of the large-scale imported coal shipments that TNV Hai Duong has organized to receive and handle during this period.
The entire process—from receiving ships, handling cargo, and transshipment to transporting goods to the warehouse system—is carried out in accordance with requirements regarding safety, schedule, and supply chain continuity.
Post-mining coal is transported to collection points, storage yards, and plants within the Hai Duong TNV system for storage, production, blending, and supply according to the needs of each customer.
Securing a stable supply of raw materials for the cement and industrial sectors in the North
For cement plants and industrial enterprises, the ability to maintain a stable fuel supply is critical to continuous production.
By regularly receiving large-capacity coal import vessels, TNV Hai Duong has gradually enhanced its ability to secure a stable supply of goods while increasing its capacity to fulfill large-volume orders with tight deadlines.
Coal mining operations at the CHAO TIAN MEN mine in Quang Ninh continue to supply coal to the system, helping to maintain inventory levels and ensure a stable supply for customers in the northern region.
